Good day!
Saw that somebody stole the alias of the real "Pretzel Boy" today.
Then I realized that this individual also misused the alias of various other pilots, including my best friend.
As this pilot also used hacked Descent files I had to make the decision today that I can not longer tolerate all this misbehavior.
Hacking Descent files (.PLT in this case) and using other peoples alias is not allowed and is agreed to be against the Descent netiquette.
That this topic arises from the same root where copyrighted mission files have been "hijacked" (as in edited and re-released without even asking the original author for permission) I have been asked for a ban today.
This is the first ban I need to put in for a very long time.
Can I please ask the guy in question to rethink about these topics?
We can't afford to ban players! But also: We can't afford to scare / annoy players away by accepting / ignoring actions like the above / by the fact that no one cares.
