As promised, this is the release of the Descent 3 Level Download Link Surgery 2007.

If necessary this will now be updated more frequently. Aswell I'd like to encourage everybody to report servers with broken download links including the exact server name and mission name. This should be done in the players embassy section of this BB. Preferably into Problems on / with a specific server. I will take care about this and hand out smaller updates.

A short discription about how this fix is going to work: Last time I handed out corrected missions. This time I am doing it better! This fix includes a fix for 704 missions. But no mission actually needs to be touched, changed or updated. Therefore the update can be handed out to the public as it is only about 255 KB in size. Anyways: Goal was to have at least 2-3 working links for each mission. This should be covered by this release. If there are any officially released missions not included, please let me know (see above).

EVERYBODY who uses to host public games from time to time or more often than this should install this file. However: PLAYERS SHOULD NOT.

READ THE MANUAL PLEASE! There is no installer! The ZIP contains a "__README.TXT" which exactly includes the instructions and informations as following:

Could you up FuelDepotv11.msn to FuelDepotv12.msn? Ill get you a copy if you need it. I added more color coding for the bases and a few more hiding spots.

The server tool won't look for the files - but Descent 3 does. The only 4 possibilities where D3 will look for these MSN files are:

Descent3\custom\graphics\

Descent3\custom\sounds\

Descent3\

and inside each mission (filenames must match).

Creating any subdirectories won't work as D3 won't look into these.

Not about to be mean or so, don't take this as an offense but maybe you did not understand this properly yet: Installing this kind of patch will last less than 30 seconds including the download as you only have to extract the files in either of the above 3 destinations.

I recommended the graphics one because usually it has less content than the sounds one, and who would want to mess up his D3 root...

I was wondering if editing the MSN was the same as editing the MN3 directly for level sets with BRANCH commands to skip certain levels without warps
